Premiere of "Magnolia" by Aleksander Dębicz
A story about transient beauty. Premiere of "Magnolia" by Aleksander Dębicz.
Aleksander Dębicz's sixth album, released by Warner Classics and recorded, among others, in Nowa Miodowa, is a unique project. The artist is both the author, performer and producer of the songs on the album, and the entire album is a reflection on the essence of beauty. Flowers bloom, reaching the peak of beauty, and then go into a state of gradual decay. It's similar in life - delight or other sublime feelings appear unexpectedly and for a moment, only to then give way to everyday life - says the artist. That's why the album's title track lasts just over a minute. "Magnolia", the song and the entire album, is about transient beauty. While working on "Magnolia", Dębicz was accompanied by artists close to him both professionally and privately: countertenor Jakub Józef Orliński, guitarist Łukasz Kuropaczewski, cellist Marcin Zdunik, folk flutist Michał Żak and horn player Konrad Gołda. Its release was preceded by three singles: "Rain", "Orchid", "Illusion", and the author of the hypnotizing, shimmering covers for each release is Honorata Karapuda.
