Sinfonia Varsovia Wind Quintet is a classical wind quintet composed of: flute, oboe, clarinet, French horn and bassoon. The band was established in 2010 as a grassroots initiative of the orchestra's musicians. It is composed of soloists of the brass section of Sinfonia Varsovia, musicians with national and international achievements. The band gave concerts, among others: at the La Roque-d'Anthéron piano festival and the La Folle Journée festival in Nantes. The band consists of: Andrzej Krzyżanowski (flute), Arkadiusz Krupa (oboe), Radosław Soroka (clarinet), Henryk Kowalewicz (French horn), Piotr Kamiński (bassoon).
In the repertoire of the Sinfonia Varsovia Wind Quintet, apart from the classic pieces of this line-up, an important place is occupied by the works of Polish composers of the 20th century, such as: Grażyna Bacewicz, Wojciech Kilar, Andrzej Panufnik and Józef Świder. The recording of the Bacewicz and Panufnik quintets appeared on the Chamber Way album released in 2021. The band is also open to arrangements and film and light music. He willingly takes part in projects aimed at the youngest listeners.
