A few words about the building
The music school operates in the restored, modernized and extended building of the former orphanage for girls from 1901. The neo-Gothic monument regained its former glory. It perfectly fulfills a new function. The new horseshoe-shaped building stands at the back of the plot at the rear of the old building and connects to it through a large glass atrium. In the middle of the newly designed part there is a concert hall. It has an oval shape, a vaulted ceiling, a stage for a 100-person orchestra and an auditorium for 300 guests. The spaces around it distribute to smaller concert halls and rehearsal rooms. The interiors are lined with wood. Outside, we managed to find space for a small garden. The oval shape of the concert hall, its vaulted ceiling and wooden carpets provide excellent acoustics.
