State Music School Complex No. 1 in Warsaw

A modern music school

ZPSM No. 1 in Warsaw consists of four schools: one first grade and three second grade music schools, providing education for students aged 7 to 23.

The complex is the largest and leading music school in Poland.

The oldest of schools - Państwowa Szkoła Muzyczna II stopnia im. Józefa Elsnera, is a direct continuation of the Warsaw Conservatory, which history dates back to the beginning of the 19th century and is associated with such figures as Józef Elsner, Stanisław Moniuszko and Karol Szymanowski.

For years, ZPSM No. 1 was housed in twin buildings, on both sides of the inner courtyard of the post-Piarist complex at Miodowa 22 c and Miodowa 22 d. From September 2020, the headquarters of the school is a modern complex with a concert hall and chamber concert halls at Rakowiecka 21.

Concert halls, as well as the extensive facilities of music and practice rooms are an excellent educational base for students and teachers.
